We asked our apprentice, Matt, a few questions about his apprenticeship experience at AMS so far. Here’s what he had to say…

How long have you been at AMS?

M:  I’ve been at AMS 4 months this week!

What made you consider doing an apprenticeship in Digital Business?

M: It’s important to play to your strengths and us youngsters have always had the internet around. I think we can pick up stuff quickly in the media & marketing space because of this.

What does your day-to-day role include?

M: A day of shadowing my line manager before incorporating those skills myself,  carrying out tasks with the team and attending virtual marketing workshops is an average day for me.

How would you describe AMS in three words?

M: Positive, Collaborative & Motivating

What part of your role do you enjoy the most?

M: Helping set up advertising campaigns for clients such as Showcase Cinemas has been really insightful

What do you like best about working with your colleagues?

M: Everyone has constant access to each other here which gives me the opportunity to learn from people in different teams and gain new experiences every day.

What are your career aspirations?

M: Right now, it’s still about learning as much as possible within the scope of the media landscape. There are so many different paths you can go down.

What would you say to others considering a role in media?

M: If you have the curiosity, I say just go for it!
